Concert: re:tradition

Free admission. The number of places is limited, valid on a first-come, first-served basis.

The concert brings together artists devoted to traditional village music and musicians playing contemporary music. This year, re:tradition focuses on women. The performances will weave a tale about women’s lives and their roles in village life.  The tale will be based on the lyrics of traditional songs which feature these themes.  We will also get acquainted with stories of particular women – musicians and singers, whose talent was recognised and appreciated by their closest environment and beyond.

Performers: Micromusic, Maja Kleszcz, Zuzanna Malisz and Kacper Malisz, Maria Bienias, Wiesława Gromadzka with her granddaughter Monika Maciejczak, and Katarzyna Zedel. We will also hear songs from the repertoire of  Bronisława Chmielowska (1935 – 2021).
