Although Krzysztof’s ancestors were involved in woodwork, as both his father and grandfather were carpenters, Krzysztof was the first to focus on carving. Towards the end of the 1980s, he made his first steps in woodcarving by trial and error. He makes his sculpture by hand, presenting predominantly sacral or historical scenes as well as genre scenes. He has received awards for his work, among others in Przysiek, in the contest for Christmas nativity scenes or Innowrocław in Contemporary Folk Art Contest. His wife, Aleksandra, is also an artisan.
