Halina Kukuczka has been crocheting since she was a young girl – she makes crochet lace ( the Polish term popular in the region is heklować). For her work, the artist uses cotton threads of various sizes, depending on the effect she wants to get. She mostly finds inspiration in nature which gives her the most ideas. She has passed on her skills to her daughter, Dorota Cieślar. At Halina’s stall, you will find both tablecloths and old-fashioned coifs, collars, gloves, jewellery or dresses made in the Koniaków lace technique. Halina is a member of Folk Artists’ Association.
