In the past, intricately painted wooden chests were an essential part of a bride’s dowry. These chests were adorned with elaborate designs and contained valuable items gifted by her parents that the bride carried into her new home. These items included clothing, linen, and tableware.
In Ignacy Wawrzycki’s workshop, we will decorate miniature versions of such dowry chests. Drawing inspiration from traditional motifs once popular in the Lublin region, we will paint pretty patterns on them. Let’s immerse ourselves in the artistry of the past and create our unique treasures!
